One Sunday evening this February, I reserved a table at the Peking Diner and am glad to say that the meal was exceptional. The reasonably priced ‘eat as much as you like’ menu and the courteous, friendly members of staff made for a pleasant experience.

My wife requested a pot of Green Tea, after which we ordered a delicious selection of starters which included piping-hot Crispy Spring Rolls, scrumptious Satay Chicken, delightful Spare Ribs, Sesame Prawn Toast and delicate Samosas, all of which were genuinely superb.

We skipped the soup course and headed straight for our favourite Crispy Aromatic Duck and succulent Crispy Aromatic Lamb, both accompanied by the usual pancakes & Hoi Sin sauce etc. At previous Chinese restaurants we have tried, unfortunately it has often been our experience that their Aromatic Lamb has been rather dry and disappointing, but I am pleased to report that this was most definitely not the case at the Peking Diner.

My main course consisted of Lemon Chicken and Egg Fried Rice, whilst my wife chose Fried Mixed Vegetables with Chicken, accompanied by some tender Mangetout. Altogether, the bill came to under £37.00 including VAT & service charge, which seems remarkable value.

In conclusion, I would not hesitate in the slightest to recommend this outstanding Chinese restaurant to either members of the family or friends and we fully intend to return there in the very near future.

They forgot half our order, was meant to collect within half hour it took about an hour in total and food was cold when we got home so took it back for refund... would never go back they are very incompetent and cannot handle the stress of being slightly busy. you have been warned if you do not want a ruined evening.

We have eaten here several times. The food is excellent, the staff are friendly. The buffet menu (about £15 per head) is superb and you can eat as much as you like. House wines are reasonably priced and good. Can't wait to go back.
