Zaika is on the ground floor of the Great Northern Tower which is right in the centre of Manchester. It's handy if you're shopping or visiting Manchester Central or The Bridgewater Hall.
The restaurant opens all day (except Saturday lunchtime), and serves freshly prepared Indian food. The menu is large and there's a varied vegetarian choice too.
Spread over two floors, the restaurant has a great atmosphere in the evenings with its rich purple and gold decor.

As a group of friends , we get together every year to catch up and enjoy Christmas together. We select different restaurants every year and this year we decided on Zaika Manchester.
It started of ok, Nice ambience, good selection of drinks and good bar service. We were shown to our table for 10 people after approx 15 minutes of arriving. after ordering, our starters arrived quite quickly, and were ok. then after about a 30 minute wait our mains arrived, or should i say, everyone else's mains arrived. I nicely informed one of the waitresses that my main had not arrived and off she went. she returned 10 minutes later with a dish that didn't look like what i ordered so i asked what it was, to which she replied " Something with Lamb...? " (I had ordered a chicken tikka). I informed her it wasn't what i ordered, so she took it away. By the time my main had arrived, everyone else had finished. Ay no time did anyone check back to see if everything was ok with the meal.. But we were asked about a dozen times if we were ok for drinks? The food was ok, but nothing to shout about, there are a lot better Indian restaurants in Manchester. The staff looked really miserable. Shame really as the venue looks really nice.
Won't be returning in a hurry. Disappointing.

I enjoyed my meal here, but I thought it wasn't anything very special. We ate there mid afternoon, so it was an awkward time really, but the service was good, the food arrived hot and tasted nice, but just nothing to shout about.
