My normal restaurant in Caterham was closed so I came across this one in Warlingham (only 5 mins extra drive).
    Best points:
    - the food was excellent; better than my usual.
    - the atmosphere was good: very traditional, nothing flashy
    - decent value for money; slightly more expensive than my local but way ahead in taste.

    Bad points:
    - the waiters weren't as friendly as they could have been; English spoken wasn't the best so there wasn't much banter.
    - toilets were tight

These are small points though. As long as you have good company with you (to chat with) and your bladder isn't the weakest then visit this restaurant. What it does best is the food and that is why we go to a good Indian to eat.

I now come to this restaurant as my new local.

i absolutely love this restaurant i find it very beautiful and quiet.
the food was amazing and was very well presented ( which is fabulous)!
the waiters were very good and welcomed us very nicely and sat us down on our table and asked for the drinks. we were really amazed of how nice the food was and how quickly it had come. it was piping hot which was wonderful.
i was really shocked of how the other reviews turn't out to be. but i had an wonderful time over there and i wish to go there all the time now and i hope more people start to go there as well.

    Where to start?

The waiters are possibly the rudest ever, this doesn't bother me anymore as I find it fairly amusing. They'll look and talk to somebody else whilst dishing your food or plate. This usually means they'll deliver my plate to the table on top of my cutlery. Or my pint will be pivoting on my fork!

If your faint hearted don't bother, if you can handle their rudeness and turn it to humour then give it a try, their not being rude their being the selfs thinking their polite, every time I ring for delivery they'll hang up, sometimes takes 3 phone calls to finish my order, their food especially their eat in is superb best in the area, yet delivery can sometimes vary.

Their nan upon delivery I'm sure they collect from sainsburys! Saying this I'm still a regular customer as I think their food is lovely when eating in.

Oh not to forget I had a cold meal, asked for fresh curry and they decided to give me the same meal 1minute later, microwaved? Very much so!

I am a bit baffled by the previous reviewer because I had a different experience.

I went to the Warlingham Tandoori to celebrate my husband's birthday; there was a party of 8 people and 1 child. We were shown to our table by our waiter and a child seat was provided. This was clean and the baby looked comfortable.

The atmosphere was really nice, it was warm and cosy and not flashy. The place wasn't the most modern looking but it had a charm about it.

The waiter recommended some dishes and took our order. The drinks were bought over quickly and the waiter was kind enough to take the birthday cake and leave it in the kitchen.
The Manager came over and congratulated my husband and had a nice conversation with him. He then gave my husband a free bottle of wine as a present (which he promptly opened and started drinking instead of taking it home!).

The food came after about 15 mins on a trolley and was placed on the table. There were some dishes that I'd not tried before and obviously the usual ones as well. The food was absolutely delicious. My husband's chicken biriyani had so much chicken we joked there was more meat than rice (which is a good thing). The curries were nicely spiced and not too hot. One of our friends had a Phal curry and was sweating because it was very spicy but she loved it.

The waiters were servicing us throughout and drinks were being topped up regularly. We had a great time. When I asked for the cake, the Manager bought it over on a plate and presented with the candles already lit. He also bought plates and small forks with him. That was really nice. He joined in the singing and one of the waiters took some photos for us. Even though the baby made a lot of mess with the poppadoms, the staff happily cleared it all up and wiped the seat clean (only for it to be messed again).

We had a great time and enjoyed the food and service. We will definitely be coming back again.

Probably the rudest staff I've ever encountered. We arrived as a party of five adults plus an eighteen-month old. There was no high chair available and no apologies for not having one. The menus were flung on the table in a heap rather than being handed to us individually. When we asked the waiter to replace the totally flat lemonade he turned his back on us and walked into the kitchen. We paid for the drinks and poppadoms then left and went elsewhere. Was all this because they were busy? No, we were the only ones in there and now we know why. PS I've had to give it one star for service or this site won't let me leave a review. Minus ten would be more accurate.
