The Weavers Bar and Restaurant is just outside Huddersfield in the village of Golcar. Previously The Weavers Shed, the pub has undergone major renovation works (2011) and has relaunched as a restaurant with rooms. The building was a former mill owners residence and has gardens with great views. The menu is British and local produce are used where possible. An early diners menu is available from Monday to Friday 17:30-19:00 and a special lunchtime menu accompanies the a la carte options. The restaurant has a function room for private hire.

As a group of eight we dined at Weavers Restaurant on opening night (Sat 11th June). The owners have done a splendid job of renovating this beautiful old building.
From pre-dinner drinks in the bar, to leaving the restaurant, the staff were attentive giving just the right amount of service without being overbearing.
The food was excellent. I had scallops to start, which were perfectly cooked, followed by a wonderful steak with all the trimmings. Dessert was a great success, enhanced by a wonderful dessert wine.
Our party thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening. Credit to the chef and front of house manager
The only less positive note would be that the lighting in the restaurant is very bright and not really conducive to atmospheric dining, but we were re-assured that this was a minor teething problem that would be remedied very quickly.

Fantastic place, it has been refurbished to a very high standard, friendly staff, quick service, great wine and the food was amazing. The pricing is spot too, not too expensive.
