Never had a bad meal at the Village inn. My favourite is Chicken and black pudding stack, gorgeous. Andrew goes to a lot of effort to create a warm welcoming atmosphere. He has a good banter with the customers at the same time ensuring their satisfaction with their meals. Always a good night.

A fantastic pub, beautiful, first class food, which is of good value. Excellent staff and atmosphere. Accommodating, as we hadn't booked and was very busy, but Andrew did his best to find us a table. We all left very happy and extremely full! Certainly worth a visit, best food around in this area.

Two wonderful hosts. Andrew made my last night in the UK very memorable. What a character! His wife is lovely too and a wonderful cook. Thank you both for a great memorable evening with loads of laughs.

Had a brilliant meal. The owner Andrew is as daft as a brush, like us, So we really feel at home going there. Atmosphere its brilliant. Only thing he lied to me tonight he said he was going to show me his whopper, so with camera ready, with the biggest lens on in-case I missed it - but alas it wasn't to be, so Andrew you shouldn't disappoint your customers.

Other than that was a great night as usual, so thanks to every one at the Village Inn for great food and great entertainment - see you soon.

I live in Melbourne, Australia and whenever I return to UK (I was born and raised in the area) my first meal out is at The Village. The gammon is spectacular! Especially as it is virtually unheard of in Australia. The rest of the menu is good and I usually manage a couple more visits during my stay in Furness. Keep up the good work!
