a carvery is a carvery and you can't get much wrong? (avoid the curried swede!) I started with the lentil soup which is a particular favourite of mine but I will not be doing that again at the Talbot!- a word to the wise cheffy, tin lentils in hot water aint lentil soup!
The rest was fine with some nice and different roast meat styles i.e. roast stuffed belly of pork, roasted lamb shoulder-yes to save money on more expensive cuts but if done well they are far superior in my opinion. Good friendly service and a nice area to eat in now they have done it up and got rid of the previous cowboys.
Overall a reasonably pleasant meal out!
