Well what can I say.....apart from Wow! This Traditional Pub and Restaurant is a dying breed. We had a great Annaversary Celebration at The Stags Head, lovely homecooked food, with a very extensive menu, and fantastic service,nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who looked super in their pink ties, a lovely touch!
The Stags Head is not part of a managed pub chain, and it certainly shows, thank goodness. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the decor very traditional and clean. There is plenty of parking and a lovely garden with the prettiest smoking area I have come across.
There should be more places like The Stags Head, instead of the same pub in every town, with the same menu and obnoxious staff! Big pub chains should send their staff to The Stags Head to learn some manners!
