I've eaten at the Last Viceroy for years. I moved away recently, and my new local Indian Restaurant, is considered Cuisine, so I thought nothing of it. Then recently I returned with my partner, who had never eaten at the Last Viceroy before. She was impressed.

As always the meat is tender and delicious (lamb is often stringy, but not at the Last Viceroy). There was a new dish on the menu, which I fancied, but my partner wanted something hot, so we spoke to the chef, and the dish was served, exquisitely tasting, with a wonderful kick to it.

What can I say, not too greasy, portions are large. I always have enough to take home when I'm sitting in. Service is excellent.

The only thing which is not perfect is the price, all decent restaurants around here are expensive, and while Last Viceroy isn't bank breaking expensive, it is priced to its competitors, although the portions do seem much larger.

Definitely worth a 30 minute round trip, drive to visit.
