The Fox, Walmley, Sutton Coldfield.
I went in with my son excited and taste buds racing for the all you can eat breakfast at only £3.99, I thought what a bargain with a mindset that I going to eat them out of house and home and really get my monies worth...
Oh really, what an unbelievable experience...
DON'T EAT BREAKFAST AT THE FOX.
A complete disappointment, Sausages that don't even look or taste like a sausage, cold beans, no taste mushrooms, something that looks like a tinned tomato all by itself with cold tomato juice around it, the only thing going for it was the bacon, not bad, so I thought I would salvage this disappointment with a bacon sandwich only to find that the bread had previously been frozen and was still cold and wet, the only option available was toast. I nearly forgot the eggs...leave them please, there should be a health hazard notice on the wall explaining where the nearest NHS drop in centre is, just in case my iron stomach fails.
Those who know me will now be shocked, we didn't even finish the first plate it was so bad, no love in the food man!
To make things worse I had to pay extra for a tea and orange juice with no free top up.
£11.18 for two completely uneatable breakfasts, the food waste at the FOX must be unbelievable and shocking.
I recommend that you search for a cafe that is busy nearby, it can only be better value and the food edible.
I will never enter the FOX again for breakfast, please take my word for it, please do the same and save yourself from my nightmare experience.

We have never been disappointed with our meal or the staff.
The public area and the toilets now look a little dated and could do with modernising, otherwise no complaints.

The barmaids are lovely girls, even when under pressure (Chris and Carol) the carvery is reallygood value, what I would call cheap and cheerful, and is a treat instead of cooking the evening meal, just like a home cooked meal without the washing up.

Food varies from day to day but generally for the money okay. Staff are not really welcoming for the most part and the only reason why a lot of people go is because it’s cheap so you tend to put up with the crap from the staff. Having said that we’ve made our last visit to the Fox yesterday (14/04/2012). This is after complaining about waiting for a drink at the bar for more than 10 minutes. There was no staff at the bar serving. It was only when I shouted “Bar” that a member of the staff turned up and got abusive after I complained that no one was serving and she told me to leave if I didn’t like it. So I did.
