Reopened in February 2011 by Two-Michelin Starred Hibiscus chef patron Claude Bosi, with former Hibiscus sous-chef Patrick Leano running the kitchen. Claude Bosi's brother Cedric is the general manager, bringing with him his experience running The Bell at Yarpole, in Leominster.
The menu is, as you'd expect full of seasonal British produce - and for the most part can be described traditional, but there some suprises such as Herefordshire snail lasagne and an ox tripe gratin. For the more conservative diners, fish and chips, sausage and mash and coq au vin also feature on the menu - but in a refined form (the fish, for example is Brown Ale battered Hake, and the chips are triple cooked). Steaks are also available, including some less common cuts such as Côte de Boeuf (for two to share) and Bavette.
Bar Snacks are also available, and include scotch eggs, pork scratchings and sausage rolls.
The Fox and Grapes also offers accommodation.
