The English Pig restaurant relocated from Farringdon to Milbank in 2012.
As the name suggests, British pork (free range, from "happy pigs") features heavily on the menu with starters such as black pudding & pork shoulder pate and crispy pigs ears with apple jam. Pork-based main courses include slow roasted pork belly (cooked for 21 hours) and braised shoulder of pork served with parsnips, strawberries and broad beans. The dinner menu gives diners a choice of around five dishes for each of their starters, mains and dessert - with at least one vegetarian option and a few non-pork dishes.
Given 24 hours notice, the restaurant will also attempt to accommodate requests for diners favourite dishes.
Head Chef and owner Jonnie Mountain appeared on The Great British Menu in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
The Atrium is five minutes walk from Parliament square and The House of Commons.
