This place is just great. It is not a flashy restaurant but an Inn and It lives up to this title more than admirably.
The atmosphere is stunning, the staff and owners are welcoming, helpful and friendly. The food is individually cooked to order and whilst the menu might look average on first sight, just wait until you try it. The starters all have a pleasant twist to them although should you wish to have a plain one you can.
The meat is fabulous and cooked to perfection, as we went there twice on our visit to the area this seems to be a consistant fact. We never got to the puddings as even the boy was totally stuffed by the portions.
Both myself and girlfriend would go so far as to say that the two evening meals that we had at the Anchor were some of the best that we have had for a long time and the prices to someone from London are unbelievable.
IN SHORT YOU MUST TRY IT, YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED!!!!!!!!
