I have been to this restaurant a few times, and have always found the food to be excellent. The staff can be a bit dour, but on my most recent visit they were much friendlier than normal, and that really improved the experience.
It is clearly a very popular restaurant, and has always been very busy when I've been there. This means it can be a little loud, which can lessen the atmosphere somewhat!
It is pretty good value, especially considering the quality of the food. A meal for two (two starters, two mains, no alcohol or puddings) cost us less than £50 including tip.
Not really an every night restaurant, but great for the occasional outing when you fancy something a bit special!
