This is the best Greek food I have ever had!!! It's all fresh and made to a very high standard- I particularly love the moussaka which is delicious. To be honest you could just order every starter and be stuffed! The feta surprise is divine, and the houmous is the best I ever had.

The service is just wonderful. The owners, Fred and Maria, are two of the nicest, most sincere people you could ever meet, and will really look after you. They can't do enough, even custom making food the way you like it!

This is the only restaurant I ever really go to now....but you will be so full! Just try to save room for the sweet, nutty baklava Fred makes....worth the feeling of being stuffed!

A really charming find... I can't remember how many years ago I stumbled on it by chance...I am so surprised by the negative reviews here...I have only ever know 100% satisfaction. Of course it's quiet midweek it's Hazlemere not exactly a buzzing social centre!!

    Wow -what a turnaround.

..went back for a 2nd visit : fantastic food and service , had an absolutely great time : best Greek restaurant in the area if not the South East - food was just like I have had in Cyprus

..would be happy to take a large or small group.

really hospitable friendly and charming hosts

I cannot understand how this place stays in business - worst eating out experience I have had in a long while - I travel a lot on business - inc Cyprus frequently..... some of the interactions with customers last night was almost comicly poor : the waitress just doesnt get it.

Also - I suspect some of the good reviews could be by the owner - just do not ring true ... simply cannot believe this place can be seen as "good" or has regular customers who are familiar with decent Greek / Cypriot food ..... perhaps older generation who are used to 1970's Fawlty Towers food and service standards and the norm and good.

The food overall was somewhere between "poor" and "mediocre / OK" depending on the course. Over the past year I have spent about 2-3 months in Cyrus and Greece on business and regularly eat this style of food .... all of which has been *way* better than the offering at Santorini - ..the food seemed to be made up of cheap ( Asda economy ?) ingredients not that well put together.

In addition the service was fairly surly and curt , no welcome , waitress would not take or offer drink orders at the table [sat at the bar most of the evening waiting for customers to walk-up and ask]

Quite a few of us didnt finish much of our food [it wasnt nice] - and we were personally challenged by the waitress to "eat up" as we were "wasting food" !!! - she even pushed the half finished food in front of us "dont you want this" .. before finally removing it.

    summary

Meze: rather tastless [ my homemade is much better ]

Greek salad : ditto - a poor imitation - I asked for more Olive Oil , salt and pepper : reluctantly brought at 2nd request - then whisked away without asking. the Feta cheese was nasty , no black olives , tastless tomatoes.

warm starters : these were "OK" - though vine leaves are normally served cold - not piping hot. Halloumi was not very nice though.

white bait and Kalamari ; mediocre and not enough lemon to squeeze over and no dip for the fish.

Main course meat dishes : poor : grilled chicken and pork was VERY dry , with raw onion added [not grilled !] - lamb shank tasted rather "odd" as did the meatballs - we left much of the meat.

dessert : OK - however a bit soggy and soft : probably from being overdone in the microwave

coffee : no Greek or Cyprus coffee was offered.

Gordon Ramsay should sort this place out : I cant believe it has many repeat customers who are familiar with good quality Greek or Cypriot food .... if it existed in Nicosia or Limassol : it would go out of business very quickly ......combination of mediocre at best food and dismal/dreary staff appoach to customers
