Another disappointing night. Would have liked to have the Pie but the two congealed pieces that had obviously been there for ages looked very off putting. Why is it that no one ever wipes up all the mess that gets dropped around the vegetables and the sauces and the ice cream machine? Why do you always have to ask for empty bowls to be refilled? There are plenty of staff why are they not trained to do these jobs? cleanliness is most important where food is being served.
Why are weekly quizzes advertised online and around the Tavern and then two weeks running they are cancelled? Soon no -one will bother to turn up for them.

My wife and I took an 89year old lady to your Tavern as a birthday treat. Although the beef and ham were excellent the vegetables left a lot to be desired. The carrots were well over-cooked; the yorkshire puddings were leathery; the brussel sprouts and cauliflower were the frozen variety and tasted slimy. The meal got cold very quickly and altogether was a not very pleasant experience. This is the complete opposite to the experience we have had in the past.
