We had a kids birthday party here, and it is hard to put into words just how bad our experience was. I don't normally write reviews but I feel so enraged to write this so that no one else goes there and feels as disappointed as us. The website says we'll decorate the venue with your choice of decorations and balloons, and take all the stress out, dedicated entertainer etc. What actually happened is that the party was just in an empty conservatory, no decorations, no lights, no balloons, nothing. Just a few dirty tables and chairs. There was a lady sitting at the front (aka the entertainer), who was just streaming songs through her phone from you tube. None of the music was remotely for kids. Then even the music went off due to technical problems with the sound system. So just an empty soundless room. Eventually a another system came. The entertainer also kept on disappearing for ages, and was completely clueless about kids party games. After disappearing once for about 20 mins she finally reappeared with pass the parcel, with sweets we bought using what looked like disposable table cloths as wrapping paper. Food was also pretty minimal, no child tables or chairs (or table cloths as probably used for wrapping paper). My child just say on his own with us. Absolutely disgusted. Have to apologise to my guests for this shambles.

Booked a 40th Birthday party for a group with all ages - got there and the table wasn't big enough for the group - told the staff, waited... waited some more - then moved the tables ourselves.

Food of good quality and value - except some people got their meals and had finished before others received them.

Drinks - not badly priced, but hot drinks like Latte etc served in wrong glasses - seemingly not enough glasses.

In view of the terrible service we decided not to pay the service charge, but just as we was leaving the staff approached us and complained we hadn't paid the bill in full. So got out of the car and walked back in to re-count, where they discovered they had made a mistake.

Overall - if you could have the food and not the staff... then yes would go back, but in view of the stroppy staff and crap service - never again.

Food was ok we didn't realise there was a disco on and felt worried that it was going to be noisy. Imagine our delight when the DJ started playing great soul music we stayed 'till 2.30 am and haven't danced so much for years the music was exceptional and we will definitely be going back on a Friday again!

This was a birthday celebration with 5 ladies. I booked this place because had been there once before and enjoyed it. However, what a disappointment. Because it was DJ night (which we did know about) the main restaurant room was closed and we were stuck round the other side, which looked like a pub with 2 nasty wooden tables pushed together for our group. Children were running in and out to their parents (bearing in mind we wanted an adult night out!). Once we ordered food we visited the toilets. The smell was disgusting and there was urine and paper all over the floor. There was no light in the disabled toilet. On bringing this to the attention of one of the staff she went into to clean it and then carry on serving meals!! We cancelled our meals and left. The price of the food was expensive. Whilst we were leaving one of the staff apologised and said they had a leak in the toilet and offered us a free bottle of wine if we came back at 10pm for the disco. Won't be going back there again, which is a shame. It looks like a classy place from the pictures, and it was when I last visited. Very poor.
