This is a superb small restaurant - the staff are Italian and very welcoming, friendly and efficient. The food is superb. The atmosphere is wonderful. I have recommended Pinocchio's to friends and they have all been delighted with the experience. Just worth mentioning is that Pinocchio's is closed on Mondays.

We love this restaurant. It's my financee and I's anniversary restaurant and we visit every year in March to enjoy the wonderful food and fantastic atmosphere. It's a perfect romantic restaurant with great staff and a great menu, the special's board is imaginative and exciting and they serve great wines.

I see one negative review about loud live music. Never been there when there was loud music so this must be a one off and should be treated as much.

This is a great Italian restaurant, our favourite. Go, eat, have fun.

Totally ruined evening! The loud booming live music would have been more suitable in a nightclub, not a restaurant! Couldn't even have a conversation with my friends, don't bother going there if you want a "normal" restaurant experience - food whilst being able to hear what people are saying to you! However, if you want something resembling a nightclub, you'll love it!

    13th October 2010.
After attending a talk by Dennis Morris at Burton Library, I finished off my evening with a trip to Pinoccio's Restaurant.
What a divine experience. I used to work for Pirelli and had many trips to Italy, but had not visited a real Italian restauant since I retired.
Arriving mid-week at 9.15pm the place was quiet with only a few customers.
Hoever, they offer a three course meal, Monday to Thursday for only £12.
The choice was good and varied for each course, plus specials chalked up on the wall.
I started with a chalked up special of Avocado, baked in the oven with cheese and tomatos and a basil sauce.
While waiting I ordered a half bottle carafe of the house red, costing only £6.50
This was served immediately together with a large wine class, into which was poured just the right amount of wine.
When the avocado arrived it was hot, well presented and optimum in flavour.
To follow I ordered Pollo Valdostana with some chips on the side.
This proved to be a huge tender breast fillet of chicken with ham and chees, covered in a sauce.
The chips arrived on a separate plate, freshly cooked and piping hot.
Although delicious, it was more than I could mangage and I wanted to leave some space for my dolce.
The manager said, better to have too much than too little.
I finished off the evening with a Tirami su which came on a 12 inch platter accompanied by ice cream and the surprise of a wafer thin chocolate mint.
By then the other diners had left, so I asked the manager what time did they close?
In true Italian fashion he replied, "when you leave, take your time."
