Pastiche Bistro operates a fixed-price menu at both lunchtime and dinner; with two courses being priced at £5.95 and £11.95 respectively for a starter and a main course. Customers can choose to have a main and dessert instead, with an allowance from the fixed price being put towards dessert. Some dishes on the menu attract small supplements (usually £1-£5) - but there is always plenty of choice without spending extra. Example main courses are: char grilled chicken on a leek and potato mash with a cream cheese and chive sauce; mussels in a cream, white wine and garlic sauce, severed with chips.
At lunchtime, a takeaway menu is also available (the restaurant advises you phone orders in advance to avoid a delay in collection). Like the restaurant menu, the menu for takeaway changes regularly - with example dishes being a cheese and smoked bacon burger with chips (£4.95); salmon and asparagus tart with hollandaise (£3.95); or broccoli soup with toasted almonds and bread (£3.95).
