I love The Orchid, and have been quite a few times. The food is fantastic and i have never had a problem with the service. It is by far the best chinese in Prestwick.

Had a meal there with a friend last night, the food was delicious and served promptly. We were given a bowl of prawn crackers with our drinks whilst we waited for our meal. Our female server was courteous and pleasant and enquired during and after our meal if we enjoyed it. Only let down was the toilets!

Have eaten at the Orchid many times, food is excellent, well presented and served quickly. Downside is that there is not a separate area for people waiting for take away and they are seated facing the diners, this is not ideal for either sit in or take away customers. There is a coffee table with some plants on it being used to create a divider, but this could be greatly mproved with perhaps a screen.

Went with my wife on Friday and found the waiter very arrogant to say the least, pointing towards a table and leaving us to seat ourselves. Didn't ask us how our meal was throughout our courses, no music, and a woman on a laptop shouting in Cantonese over her mobile really spoilt it for us. Don't like the set up as there was a queue of people waiting for takeaway food seated opposite us. A bell rang every few minutes for delivery driver to collect food from kitchen, sounded very tacky like a Del boy reject. Food was good but service extremely poor and hostile. My wife was glad she had her meal before using the toilet facilities NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN!
