I've visited Mud Crab on Ecclesall Road several times for dinner and always had great food and service. I recommend the "dirty burger" which comes topped with pulled pork, and the "Grinch wine bar special fried chicken".

Had a great meal here a couple of weeks ago. We had a large table booked for a birthday celebration and the evening was excellent.
I started with a duck hash which was delicious, it was served with a poached egg on top which had a perfectly runny yolk. My main was a 'dirty burger' (which I actually almost missed on the menu) - I loved it. A double burger, cheese, onions and pulled pork served with a mountain of chips - a bargain at £11.50.
The service was good, drinks were replenished as needed.
I've marked the loos down, because by the end of the evening there was only one useable cubicle (1 locked all evening, 1 broken lock, 1 blocked).

Loved the burger, but it is quite expensive. Staff were nice but slow.
There is tons of restaurants on Ecclesall Road, many better than this - but you won't find a better burger.

We have had dinner at Mudcrab Cafe a number of times now, and it never fails to impress! The staff are very attentive without being overbearing, and the food is absolutely delicious. We cannot recommend this place enough! We cannot wait to try the buttermilk pancakes and would definitely recommend the nachos.
