Do not go for the Mozzarella Burger unless you like grey watery stewed meat. We left 3 meals and were not asked if we enjoyed the food. Service slow - would not eat there again and do not recommend.

Arrived on time for our 8:30 reservation, to be told the table wasn't "quite ready", so we had drinks. At 9:00 asked how much longer and was told 5 or 10 mins and that we had to wait until "our table" was vacated. What with the place being so busy it looked as if we wouldn't have food in front of us before 10:00, so we went elsewhere. The drinks were given to us with no charge but the celebration evening was spoilt.
PS the chippy down the street can be recommended.

Living myself in the village of Marsden I had heard good reports about this restaurant but had never visited the place until recently when I went with eight other people to celebrate a relatives birthday, to drink we started off with a bottle of the house Red wine which we all agreed was just about drinkable. Then I had the starter of Crab Cakes which to be honest were very small about the size of a meat ball and did not have much taste to them they were also very dry. For my main meal I picked a seafood pasta which tasted only of garlic and butter was very greasy and only had prawns and scallops as the seafood, and as one of the other people with us had a seafood pizza which had plenty of mussels on it I would have thought my pasta would have also had some in it. Many of the party I was with left food and made comments about the food which ranged from sauce out of a tin to the tomato on the pizzas being too strong I was brought up in an Italian family and I know what Italian food should taste like and my meal at this restaurant was not good and was over priced I have had better food in London for less.

I went to Mozzarellas for the first time last week. My first impressions were very good (despite being told that I hadn't reserved a table when I rang earlier in the evening to advise there would now be five of us and not four) the new bar area is lovely and the service started off reasonalby well.
The food I have to say was delicious - the pasta so fresh and tasty - we all had something different and all enjoyed it.
The service though is another story. It was fairly busy but not packed out. I felt like I was doing the job of the waitress assigned to our table. We must have asked three times for a jug of water - at one point we were chasing round the restaurant after her with the empty jug as we got fed up asking her! We went to the bar ourselves rather than wait for the waitress to ask us if we wanted another bottle of wine.
The waitresses would wander past our table, not particularly doing anything but never thinking to ask if we needed anything - we had to attract her attention and call her over all the time. it was a bit wearing to say the least!
I told a friend we had been - she asked me how I'd found it - I said the food was lovely but the service poor - she said yes - that's been her experience too.
The waittresses need to be trained better/ be more proactive and anticipate customers needs - not wander around aimlessly!
