Over many tears I have enjoyed Monroes Pizza. They were never the run of the mill joint that just threw some ingredients and cheese on a pre-prepared 'flan base' of a base. They were traditionally made with hand made dough.

This is no longer the case I am afraid. Last night I ordered two pizzas, some fries and some wedges, they cost around the mark you would expect, the delivery was on time, and I tipped the delivery guy.

I could tell, just by the weight of the boxes, that something was different. When I opened the boxes, there it was, just some ingredients and cheese thrown on an pre-prepared, over proved, base... Just like one of those San Marco frozen pizzas from the supermarket! Absolutely awful! Nothing more than CHAVIAR! I rang them up to tell them of my disappointment, and in fairness I was offered a free order next time, unfortunately, I don't want to order next time!

My recommendation would be to get in your car and collect from either Majestic in Wath, or for something REALLY special drive to Dino's in Wombwell.
