Mamma Rosa is run by husband and wife Maria and Luciano Valerie and their son John who have been running the restaurant for over 20 years.
Situated by the river at Wimbledon's historic Merton Abbey Mills. The restaurant is open seven days a week to eat in or for takeaway. In summer, there is seating outside for up to 100 diners (in addition to the 100 that can be accommodated inside). In addition to the seating area outside, there is a covered smoking area.
In 2011, the restaurant appeared on Channel 5 series, "The Restaurant Inspector" and received a makeover to update it's decor and style.
The restaurant serves Italian food - this includes pasta and pizzas, but they also have a range of meat and fish dishes such as veal topped with mozzarella, parma ham, spinach, & roast potatoes; or grilled swordfish with aubergines, courgettes, peppers and roasted potatoes.
Car parking is available at Merton Abbey Mills, and Colliers Wood tube station is less than a 10 minute walk away.
Mamma Rosa caters for private parties either held at their restaurant or via their outside catering service.
