Little Hanoi is a Vietnamese cafe on London Road.
The menu is enticing with starters such as 'fresh summer rolls' - rice paper filled with either pork, prawn or tofu along with fresh herbs and salad; or 'Saigon pancakes' (Bánh xèo) - rice flour pancakes filled with shrimps, pork and bean-sprouts. To follow there are salads including Bò Tái Chanh (slices of rare beef in lime juice), or shredded papaya; or mains such as pho noodle soup, pork hot pot, stir fries and Vietnamese style curries. The majority of dishes have a tofu or vegetable option.
There is a small bar at the entrance with a couple of Vietnamese bottled beers and a decent wine selection. Upstairs there are two private karaoke rooms with thousands of songs (English and Vietnamese!) to choose from; groups can order food and drinks to be served to the rooms while they party.

Fantastic restaurant and much welcomed edition to London Road! Have eaten here twice in the past month and can't wait to go back. I'm vegetarian and avoid wheat and dairy so it's normally a nightmare to eat out(!) but there's loads on the menu that I can eat here.
Highly recommend the summer rolls, papaya salad and the hot pots. Friendly staff and great atmosphere.

We decided to pay a visit on the way back from Meadowhall on Saturday afternoon. The place was completely empty but it was understandable for a Saturday afternoon on London Road.
Very nicely presented restaurant, service excellent and food very well presented and delicious. Agree with a previous reviewer that the portions could do with 'up sizing' a little bit. Other than that, faultless and we will definitely be returning.

We were served raw prawns, a lemongrass dish which didn't taste of lemongrass and they forgot one of our dishes.
The waiter was lovely but the food did not reflect the prices, there are other great Vietnamese restaurants close by which deliver more flavour and authentic food for a lower price.

Terrible terrible take out. Tiny portions, didn't get what we asked for and stone cold dumplings. V disappointed.

I had a great evening at the restaurant launch on Monday. Although we didn't have a sit down meal, we did sample the food and meet the staff.
We tried quite a few of the dishes that are on the menu such as the summer rolls (delicious!) and the papaya salad.
I'll definitely try and get back there soon to try their full menu - although personally, I'll be staying well clear of the karaoke rooms! :)
