Oh my dear... what a terrible experience in both service (or lack of it) and the terrible fish and chips greasy chips and more batter than fish. Just as steveb's review of 16 Oct 2010 states, you feel they are hostile and full of contempt, I couldn't agree more. I would not recommend this place and hope they find a job they enjoy. Nothing worse than miserable people feeding you... Don't waste your time or money. I really wish I has just walked out the shop and gone elsewhere. Actually there was one member of staff out of three, a young lad who did have manners when serving… credit where it’s due, but the man and women there really should not be in that field having to deal with the public… they were a real disgrace and create a terrible atmosphere which I have never ever ever experience in all my years. I am only giving a one star rating, but really I'd prefer to give zero stars. VERY POOR. August 2012

The fish and chips was awful, soaked in oil. The place itself looks lovely but this isn't enough.

I wanted to leave zero too! Absolutely disgusting service and food it was awful. How they are in business is beyond me!!!!!

My WIfe and I were walking down the road and noticed and attractive sign to 'The Little Chippy'. We looked down the alley and saw a picturesque lakeland chip shop positioned on the corner. On entering we were greeted by a very hostile owner whose expression can only be described as full of contempt from the moment we entered the shop. He looked angry, unhappy and very unwelcoming. The lady in the shop was also very terse and impolite. We have never been given such a dreadful welcome in any shop of any kind. When we got the food home the chips were greasy and the tiny tasteless fish was overcooked with too much batter. On the whole the worst food/customer experience ever. Sad given how much promise the name ad the appearance of the business gives. I know this is a long review but I cannot state strongly enough how wrong these people have it.
