It was a cold January day when I visited L'Enclume so it's understandable that it was quiet - that's the only reason I have marked the atmosphere down, there were only 4 other tables in there and I was very aware of others in the room.
The food was AMAZING. We opted for the 12 course meaty menu and the sommelier offered a selection of accompanying wines (paid by the glass rather than being a set 'wine flight'). The meal itself cost £89 but I think that for the quality of the ingredients and the presentation of food it's definitely worth the money.
The restaurant itself didn't feel stuffy or awkward, and the we were made to feel very welcome.
I've only marked the toilets down as there's a mirror in the ladies loos that could do with repositioning!

The food is exceptional - nothing less. The time, effort and skill that has gone into each dish is immediatley evident once it is served. I cannot impress upon you how delicious it is.
However, the service is stuffy to say the least. Service should always be professional, yet friendly and this omition simply chills the already cold environment. How unfortunate.
More appropriate for an intimate meal for two - I would never feel comfortable going in a group; the place is simply too quiet to make one feel ease.
L'enclume - please turn up the background music, ask your staff to smile and turn the heating on.
