I am fairly new to Lal Qila, my partner has been a regular visitor for many years. I have quite high standards when it comes to restaurant food. I can't fault this restaurant, I scored the bathroom facilities low as there was no soap to wash your hand sufficiently. We had poppadums, etc and shared a mixed kebab starter, I had the Lamb Passanda with a keema nan bread. This bread was the nicest I have ever tasted with a lovely layer of spiced minced lamb - delicious! I think when I go next time I would possibly have chicken or prawns as the lamb was slightly chewy but not bad at all. The sauce was beautiful and to see the chefs cooking through glass into the restaurant is a bonus. I think this resaurant despite being tucked away next to a petrol station is a hidden gem.

I honestly cannot think of anything negative for this restaurant. Me and my family have been going here for many years now regularly (both eat in and take away) and it is always consistent in delivering the amazing food we have come to expect. My particular favourite is the King Prawn Balti - just amazing - I think the staff deserve a mention on here too as they are very attentive, without being intrusive and the restaurant has a lovely inviting feel to it (I put that down to the friendly staff & warm decor). It is very reasonably priced too which is a bonus and I'm not sure I would go elsewhere for an Indian now!!
