We eat at Jacksons every time we visit Bowness from Manchester.
A fantastic Bistro, food excellent, staff very friendly and make you feel really comfortable and welcome.

I have been eating here for over 10 years and have never had a bad experience. The food is excellent and the prices are very good. We usually choose from the table d'hote menu which offers a good choice and is priced at £14.95. The litre of house wine is very well priced and is of a good quality (only chosen the red). The lamb and black pudding and the sticky toffee pudding are superb. Sorry that we do not live nearer or that Kirkcudbright where we live does not have an equivalent.
