The menu at Warlingham's Indian Dining is a little different to that of the usual curry houses found across the UK. Whilst familiar dishes such as bhunas, kurmas (kormas) and dhansak are there, diners will also find more unusual options such as the restaurant's Moilee Tiger Prawns - cooked in coconutmilk with lemon, curry leaves, chilli and spices; or a South Indian Chettinad curry. Head chef, Deepak Rohilla also supplements his menu with specials which are changed each month.
A lunchtime menu is available 12:00-14:30 every day except Sundays and offers two courses with a glass of wine for £14.95. On Sundays, an Indian style Sunday roast is available. Diners eating-in between 17:30 and 19:30 Sunday to Thursday can also take advantage of the Indian Dining's early bird menu - priced at £17.95 per person for three courses, including a glass of wine.
In 2013, the restaurant hit the headlines when it created a chilli-chocolate Easter egg. Made using an eye-watering combination of scotch bonnet, habanera and ghost chillis the egg was roughly ten times hotter than the restaurant's Vindaloo curry - with the heat being equivalent to 400 bottles of Tabasco sauce.
Indian Dining was opened in 2003 by Asad Khan, whose experience in the industry includes working at London's Cinnamon Club.
