We had lunch here today with friends. The food was excellent and good value. Everything was cooked and presented very well. The service was good and friendly. We have been here for evening meals and have always found this restaurant to be very good. Overall it could not have been better and everything was enjoyed by us all and we all had different dishes. Most definitely we will all be returning. Thank you Ill Capriccio.

We went Saturday evening. The starters were absolutely lovely, only possible grumble is that the portions are too big, but I enjoyed my started immensely, and the waiter was nice & attentive.
Then came the main course & a massive disappointment - the steak (medium) was bleeding, and when I asked for it to be cooked a little more, the outsides were returned burnt, but the insides still leaked blood. I was not impressed when a load of musicians belted out those classical Italian hits such as "Delilah" & "Green Green Grass of Home", then came round demanding money, nor was I impressed when a load of people sat round the bar & put the football on. Not even the England or the Italy games (which I could understand), but the Portugal game.
And then they had the cheek to include a cover charge on the bill (so you pay to come in the restaurant) as well as an inclusive service charge.
I last went to Il Capriccio's a year ago, and told everyone I knew it was the best restaurant I'd been to in years. That won't be happening this time - I won't be going there ever again.
