Hi, just to respond to the above 'review'...
As manager of Hitchcock's staff members have brought these comments to my notice as they were most upset to hear themselves described as 'unwashed.' I'm pretty confident that my staff's personal hygine is above reproach, as are they!
I wonder what theme the food was on the night of your visit? If you'd like to get in touch it would be good to know what was wrong so we can avoid similar problems occuring. Constructive criticism is always helpful.

Finally, I'd just like to clarify that we certainly have not been writing our own reviews (I did personally submit one back in 1999, but that was before I started working there!) In fact it's only due to members of staff pointing out these less than glowing write-ups that has caused us to discover the world of the on-line review.

What a dreadful, dreary, dirty, smelly little dump of a place this is. The food is absolutely awful. The people who work there look unwashed. As you walk in you are greeted by the most disgusting smell of grime and dirt.
Also beware that many of the positive reviews you read on sites like this are submitted by the owners of this dump themselves.
Give the place a wide berth.
