My friend ate here last Friday (27th May 2011). We arrived around 7pm and hadn't booked beforehand so we weren't sure we would get a table. We were lucky and managed to get a table immediately.
The tapas menu is varied and has something to suit everyone. We ordered the bruschetta - this is very fresh with plenty of ripe tomatoes, chicken in honey (this is one to try, sounds a bit odd but I assure you it's delicious, the meat falls off the bone), patatas bravas - just enough spice to give it a kick, spanish omelette - this is served in two large slices and is the ultimate comfort food and jalopeno peppers deep fried and filled with cheese, naughty but definitely nice.
My friend ordered the Mojito cocktail, I was driving but I did have a sneaky sip and it really was to die for! The bruised fresh mint made this a real winner for me.
We both enjoyed the tapas, and the great thing about this style of food (when it is well cooked) is that you share the food and the experience. The food was lovely, the service good and the atmosphere relaxed.
We both ordered dessert, mine was the Esteban Mess, and hers the chocolate cheesecake. Mine was served in a cocktail glass, and was full of chewy merringue, fresh strawberries and lots of cream. The cheesecake was divine, very chocolatey and very rich, perfect for a treat.
I would definitely return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
