Eric Paxman has spent many years travelling the world and working for some well known chefs such as Marco Pierre White in London and Bill Granger in Australia. Eric was mentored by Bill and Marco and takes a lot of the things he learnt into his own restaurant. Eric returned to his hometown of Huddersfield to open his own restaurant in late 2010.
The chef embraces local produce in his Lindley restaurant with meat from the local farm (Bolster Moor) and ice cream from Yummy Yorkshire Ice Cream.
The restaurant opens from Tuesday to Sunday (closed on Saturday lunchtimes and Mondays) and serves up a menu inspired by British ingredients. The menu changes seasonally to reflect the produce that is available.
You can hire the restaurant for private events, whether they be private parties or corporate dining events, a menu can be tailored to your needs. There is seating for up to 80 diner and free wi-fi can be made available.
A separate children's menu isn’t available, but smaller portions of all dishes from the main menu can be prepared. A high chair can also be provided. Street parking is available nearby.

Eric's is our family's "treat" restaurant - it is not cheap, but the food is the best in Huddersfield. Lovely restaurant and friendly, professional staff.
Looking forward to my next visit!

WOW! What a find in Huddersfield!
I stopped here for lunch between Christmas and new year. The welcome was friendly and we were made to feel right at home. We were seated upstairs in the restaurant and give a menu to choose from. Being cold outside, I opted for soup to start and then a main of lamb. The soup was delicious, lovely and warming and flavoursome. The lamb (shoulder and chops) was amazing. The shoudler just fell off the bone and the side of dauphinoise potatoes went perfectly with it. I was so disappointed when I just couldn't finish the main as there was too much! This rarely happens!!
The meals were on the pricier side, so dont expect 'value meals'. They're meals cooked with quality ingredients! I am looking forward to visiting Erics again and again!
