Epic Fail! It's was freezing cold in the whole building, 6 of us went on a birthday meal, we did not take our coats off all night, the food was not brilliant it was a miss match of tapas mostly consisting of dips and potatoes boiled and fried!, the plates were freezing cold too, the speciality paella was very poor, over cooked chicken very dry, rice unevenly cooked. The sangria was very good which did not make up for the meal, would never go again, Surely people these days should be warm when in a restaurant to be able to relax and enjoy the surroundings...:-((

Fantastic food, freshly cooked by real Spanish staff. Great range of Spanish drinks & really friendly staff, although English was a bit of a struggle at times. Will certainly go back if the restaurant is still there next year.

Arrived, unbooked, not even sure open! Greeted by lovely girl who spoke very little English but managed to serve our drinks correctly and show kids to play area (a very welcome touch). We have always tried to support this local restaurant (in all its various forms) but have always been horrified at what has been on offer. Not any more! This restaurant is immaculately clean, staffed by Spanish cooks and waiters, decorated appropriately and has authentic Spanish ingredients that you can purchase and take home with you. The food was fabulous. We ordered nearly all the Tapas options and they were fantastic. Ok, chips were frozen but I disagree with all the other comments about the quality of the sauces and the prawns, etc. Conversation is stilted due to language barrier, however, we made all our requirements understood and five of us ate a hearty meal for just over £70. That included two drinks per person! My husband is horribly picky but loved everything about the place. We are now going back for a lunch of Paella and spanish beer. Happy days!

I didn't know what to expect coming here to eat after reading a few bad reviews. However, I am pleased to report that we enjoyed friendly, attentive service, a clean, modern restaurant, and one of the tastiest meals I've ever had. The food is freshly cooked, the portion sizes are massive and put a big smile on your face when its served up.

I notice Saturday is Flamenco night, I can't wait to go back.

Unfortunately I had to Leave a 1 star rating, If I could have left a 0 star rating I would!

This restaurant is trully awful. Knowing Spanish food quite well, I was appalled at some of the stuff they are pushing as genuine Spanish cuisine.

Allow me to translate a few menu items:

Potatos Bravos - Frozen Chips smothered in cheap ketchup £4

Calamari - Frozen Squid covered in batter thick enough to cover moby the whale and all you can taste is the Oil its been cooked in

Spanish Stew - Flavour Less Dishwater with a couple of bits of panchetta (yes you heard right, that well known Spanish bacon!)

Gambas - The tiniest prawns you've ever seen in your life, cooked so long they are like rubber, and covered in something that resembled soy sauce!

Meatballs - I cant quite describe these, except they didn't taste like any meatballs I've ever tried.

Chicken Skewers - Chopped up and reformed chicken, where all you can taste is the water preservatives it has been pumped full of.

Bread - Well it was bread, they can have a star for that!

Service is shocking, when we complained about the meal the only thing that was said was "So you wont be coming back?!"

    Damn Right We Wont!

Give it a miss guys, they have a captive customer base of boaters who moor up at the side of the restaurant whom have no place else to go. It seems to me like they are just trying to milk them out of as much cash as possible.

We were booked in to this restaurant at 19:30 this evening. We are now back at home at 20:15.

We arrived and were not greeted by any staff at all. We made our way into the bar and still were not acknowledged at all.

After standing at the bar for a full 5 minutes, still no greeting feeling like I was invisible. After a further few minutes I asked the waitress if we could have a table and she said yes, but nothing else. I asked if I should go through to the restaurant she said yes but nothing else, we were not offered any drinks either.

We went through to the restaurant and sat down at a table without being told which table we were to sit at. 5 minutes later after no contact at all by any of the staff - we left.

One very strange experience that we probably will never try again. The star rating is probably unfair, apart from the service - this is correct. We didn't get to try anything so cannot comment on the food.

I did see 4 other people leave after asking if they had a takeout menu and not hearing what they wanted to hear.

A real shame, we were really looking forward to supporting them.

Real Spanish food by REAL Spanish people. I lived in Spain for a year and it was like being there again (minus the sun!!!). Absolutely fantastic place as soon as you step through the door. Spotlessly clean, relaxed atmosphere and San Miguel on tap!

The food and service is 1st class and the bill was a lot smaller than I expected. Excellent value!!! Thoroughly recommended.

If you want the best Spanish restaurant, you'd have to go a long way to beat this (2 hours+ on a plane to be precise!!).
