Have eaten here for years and even travel some distance at times as it's my favourite Indian around. Food is really good, very tasty and reasonably priced. Whether we eat in or get a takeaway it's superb. Staff are very friendly and service is almost too quick!

I have been visiting The Eastern for a good number of years now and absolutely love the food! With no exceptions, I have not been in a tandoori restaurant that measures up.
The food is always cooked exactly the way you want it, for example I would order a Chicken Tikka Patia, which is normally around 3 star, as a 5 - 6 star heat and it still tastes every bit as good, just a lot hotter. The staff always are helpful and friendly and the owner often delivers our take away personally and would have sat with us after our meal for a chat.
Food is just beyond compare and prices are on par with any GOOD Indian establishment.

This restaurant is excellent in all respects. We have been going here for a very long time and although we have tried other indian restaurants they do not measure up and we would not consider stopping the 30 mile round trip to get there. Even when they were closed following a fire we called down for carryouts.
The food is very tasty without being too hot and the staff are very friendly and efficient. The decor is tasteful and the toilets are always immaculate. We would recommend a visit and have taken guests with us at times and thay also were impressed.
