Opening in 2008, Corrigan's Mayfair is Irish chef Richard Corrigan's latest London restaurant which he operates alongside Bentley's Oyster Bar and Grill.
The chefs 'no nonsense' approach to cooking is clear in the food; quality ingredients are sourced with great care from small, artisan producers and assembled into uncomplicated, hearty dishes. Menus change according to the season, but always feature a good choice of meat, seafood and vegetarian dishes. Example dishes from the a-la-carte menu are: roast pigeon with baby gem and live toast; or cutlet and shoulder of lamb with borlotti beans and red pepper relish.
There is also a separate vegetarian menu, which also changes according to the seasons, featuring around half a dozen vegetarian dishes such as baked artichoke custard with hazelnuts and apple and a wild mushroom linguine.
Reservations are strongly recommended, especially for weekend evenings and sunday lunch.
Please note, at the time of writing, this restaurant makes a cover charge of £2 per diner.
