Chom Chom is an 'all you can eat' restaurant, serving Indian, Thai, Chinese and European food for a fixed price of £12.95 in the week or £14.95 at weekends. Food is served either buffet style, or in some cases (such as naan bread, and stir fry) freshly prepared to order by the chefs. Chom Chom Beckenham is on Bromley Road, a few minutes walk from Beckenham High Street and Beckenham Junction train/tram station.
Since opening in late 2010, the restaurant has become popular locally and booking is advised on most nights, and especially at weekends. Some on-street parking is available nearby and there is a large car park nearby on St. George's road.
There is also a Chom Chom restaurant in Canterbury.

On the 20/03/13 I visited your Beckenham branch with 2 of my friends. We all had your evening buffet all 3 of of the 1st courses were cold as were the main course we were so disappointed that we did not have our 3rd course. I asked for the tab and to my amazement we had been charged for 3 courses plus a service charge. i then asked to see the manager when he arrived I explained the situation all he said was he would pass my remarks onto head office no apology nothing is this the way you run your restaurant. I await your reply with interest.

Don't go there, the staff is so rude!! They will ask you to clean the floor if you happen to accidentally drop anything, unbelievable. Better go somewhere else with nice staff.

Dined out there on the thursday, excellent food! suprising for a buffet restaurant, the food was not cold, they have some excellent equipment.
Finally a buffet restaurant where the continental food tastes good! chines and indian dishes were very very good indeed.
Superb decor throughout, myself and the family were treated very well, service excellent didn't mind paying service charge, although its a self service restaurant there are items you order to your table and drinks, price of the meals are more than good value especially the earlybird slot which we had.
Recommend to all!!

Cold food, stoney faced waitress, being told one 2 hours to sit then pay full charge. Service charge. Usual buffet food.
Not value for money but these are Beckenham prices!

I had a meal with friends on 6th December and thought the meal was fab.The food was tasty and good value for a buffet place. I loved the choice of food on offer.
My visit was during the afternoon which was quiet time. The staff appeared helpful and polite.

Very poor staff. They are really slow, people are too loud and it is very slow. Staff are very unbelievably slow and some of them are rude. I recommend the restaurant a three star because they have such amazing food and an great open buffet but they need to employ much more friendly and clever staff.

I've eaten here a few times now and always come away thinking I've paid far too much for what I've got. If you have a hearty appetite then yes you can fill your boots but if you're an average eater then you will feel slightly ripped off. My main gripe though is being charged £21 for service... when it's a self service restaurant?!?!
As we were a group of mixed drinkers we paid for our food separately first and service was included in this bill. We were told we could table order drinks or go up to the bar to buy. If we table ordered we had to pay another 10% on each order... even though as a table we had just paid service charge. When this was questioned the response given was a rather surly take it or leave it attitude. Well Chom Choms... next time I will leave it thank you very much.

Food was spot on, but service was a bit slow when waiting for drinks and breads etc - however the price is right and all in all the meal was a good one.

It was the last day of the school holidays, so hubby promised to treat us all to dinner. Kids and adults were both well looked after, and the food was good. Prices weren't too bad, so perhaps hubby will put his hand in his pocket a little more often ;-).

A good place for those blessed with a hearty appetite who also happen to like decent food rather than the poor quality stuff churned out by so many buffet restaurants! Sensible number of dishes rather than trying to cook everything under the sun and well cooked - perhaps not up to the standard of somewhere like Tamasha over in Bromley, but certainly way above average. .
Plenty of staff around too, again unlike some buffet places where you to struggle anyone but some guy changing the food over on the buffet who can't get you a drink!
Been here several times and will go back again - never had anything but a great meal.

Over-priced and under-valued.
A 10% gratuity is added and you have to pay it!
Not good value if you have children aged 10.
This is the second time I've eaten here and the second time I've left with a sour taste in my mouth.

Very slow service, the food was not good quality considering how expensive it is. A lot of the dishes were gloopy (Sezchuan Beef, Vegetable Noodles, Mixed Veg) and the rice had burnt so it had gone crunchy.
There was hair in the dessert tray, it was messy and hadn't been cleaned for a while. It took forever to get a table, our drinks and then our bill so it was cheeky that they then added service on top when it's a buffet!

An excellent lunch with a wide variety of mainly Asian dishes to choose from and genuinely "as much as you can eat" -- at a truly remarkable price for anywhere in Greater London. Good ambience, everything clean as a whistle, friendly and helpful staff (who displayed exemplary patience in dealing with a sudden irruption of a group of around two dozen noisy youngish people shouting merrily at each other and wolfing down food at high speed in spectacular quantities -- not regulars, we were assured). Spotless and stylish loos, comparable with any in a five-* hotel. A great find (not just the loos!). I wonder who wrote the one hostile review?
A very cheap car-park is available just round the corner, beyond the school -- £1 for two hours!
Booking recommended - online or by telephone.

I like this place. Definitely better in a group than for couples as you are up and down to the buffet all the time. Food is good and service friendly. Puddings aren't so great, but who has room for them after so much curry? :-)
Gets busy, so it is worth booking a table.

Good food for a buffet place. Seems to focus on quality more than quantity which makes a change. Like the fixed price, and with not being big drinkers so with a beer each it is under £16 a head for a three course meal - with seconds! Happy with that!

I love chom chom!! Really good place to go when there is a big group of you, lots of choice and the food is quite good.Staff are always nice and it is a fair price. Right next to the bus stop by the church which is very useful.

A very bad experience, indeed... Food was average, some of it bad and not much of a choice. It's mainly Indian, not pan-Asian as advertised. However, the worst part was finding hair in our food. First time I found it wrapped around the carvery fork and I thought it must have been a customer, but my husband found one inside the pizza dough... No excuse for that!
Service was okay, as the staff were helpful and polite.
Try to avoid, as it's too expensive for what it is!

Good, speedy service and far better food than you'd expect from an "all you can eat" place. Very nice, worth a visit!

Saw Chom Chom and decided to pop in with my partner in November 2011 and really glad I did!
At first look we thought this place would be expensive due to such a modern décor but pleasurably surprised that it was really affordable.
Our waiter, Ali, showed us around the buffet and let us know where and what everything was and made us feel really welcome throughout the meal despite having a full restaurant.
The food was exceptional for a buffet and the choice catered for everyone (even a kids choice).
I was amazed at the service, you could tell no food had been there that long and even witness a kid dropped his Jelly Beans a member was a staff was on scene within seconds.
Will defiantly be back again soon!

I don't normally like "all you can eat" places, but the food here was pretty good. There's a reasonable choice of food - enough that there should be a few dishes every likes, but not so many that it's sat around for ages. Naan breads aren't the best, but they are cooked freshly to order. I've been several times, and always had a decent meal. Service has been a bit slow once or twice, having to track staff down to order more drinks, but otherwise can't really fault it.
Good place to go with a bunch of mates. Gets really busy, especially at the weekends so worth booking in advance if you can.

Had been meaning to try out this new restaurant as the outside always looks new and buzzy. Not disappointed either inside. Nice modern decor with real stone walls to add a touch of interest and attentive staff. The place was busy and people of all ages were there. The buffet food was excellent and gave a nice choice to mix up the plate with giving r good value for money. Mind you don't eat too much! This place is an excellent addition to the good restaurants we already have in the town and I would recommend it anyone who wants good, happy eating without breaking the bank!

I visited Chom Chom in December after they'd been open just 3 months and had a great girls night out. The decor is modern, the service was very friendly and the food was really good. I was way too full for dessert but they came in mini sizes so that helps! There's a great cocktail menu and we had a nice leather boothe syle seating and circular table and although I'm also not normally a fan of buffets the food was great. Stir fries can be chosen and cooked in your style of sauce mild, medium or hot and naans are cooked to order and arrived cut and served in a nice basket rather than one huge piece which is the norm in an Indian Restaurants. Definitely worth a visit, I will be back again!

Went on a friday night and had a fantastic time! great atmosphere and decor was amazing! food is lovely and not your typical buffet style food! Staff were great and very attentive to our needs. Would highly recommend going to Chom chom but would say make a booking before hand as they are busy most nights of the week.

I'm not normally a fan of buffet restaurants, but I visited Chom Chom while in the area recently and was pleasantly suprised.
Starters were not quiet up to the standard you'd expect if you ordered freshly in a restaurant - but good none the less. The mains were better, in particular the lamb jalfrezi was really good, clearly prepared with good ingredients and plenty of whole spices. Rice and the naan (freshly cooked to order) were good too.
Service was good, with plenty of staff at hand by the buffet as well as looking after tables. All in all, a really pleasant experience.
