Staying for a long weekend in Criccieth and found this smashing pub. Beers excellent, extremely hardworking team behind bar, friendly locals and superb beer and food. An absolute little gem of a place.

Great Bog Brewery "Bog Standard Bitter; Conwy and Blonde Bombshell on when I was there - the landlord was keen to consider other ales, good 'crac' at the bar; friendly and inviting on both sides.

Spent a happy hour one afternoon sitting by the window looking out over to the Castle - the TV was on in the bar;(something that usually detracts) somehow in this very sports orientated atmosphere it felt quite right. Dined in the lounge/dining room; comfortable, not too crowded eating wise. You need to be early or book - very popular venue. Exceptional food comes out of a postage stamp kitchen - cannot praise the kitchen highly enough.

    Would certainly call again.

The food is excellent value for money with generous portions which are superbly cooked and presented. Service is quick, even at busy times. The inn is located in a quiet cul-de-sac just off the main road with plenty of free parking, literally outside the door, just follow the sign for the railway station.

Children and dogs, as well as customers, are always made to feel welcome, and there is an outside seating area, ideal for hot days. An excellent choice of drinks are available including 'real ales'.

We have just returned from a weeks holiday in Criccieth and used the inn every evening.
