Unable to fathom why people rate this restaurant highly, it's mediocre at best. Reviewer who stated it is full of pretentious people was spot on. Food was ok, lager was flat and atmosphere nil. Our party of four was unimpressed with our visit.

This was a 5 'A' STAR experience with quality produce and value for money.

Once again we have had a memorable experience at our favourite local Restaurant - El Prado's in Laleston. There is a definite regular 'foody' clientele base who understand and appreciate good food and service ,and are appreciative of how hard El Prado are working to maintain standards.

I had a salad, then dressed Crab followed by fresh Sea Bass in rock salt. All delicious and we were very tempted by the desserts on display and shared a Creme Brulee cheesecake and Profiterole.

My partner had King Prawns in a Garlic Sauce and a fabulous quality Steak cooked exactly how he likes it with a side jug of pepper sauce and top quality fresh chips.

We had a lovely time and as usual the staff were very courteous and professional.

We highly recommend this Brasserie style restaurant -- The Best!

Been to this place on a regular basis, not many people in on a Wednesday so thought we would have some good service. We ordered the 2 course deal, maybe that was my mistake and may of given the impression we did not have the money for the more varied menu. Starters fish cake, good food, nice waiter all good. Main meal Deep fired Cod for me with chips and the same but with a baked potato.

My food turned up with the chips, my partners fish turned up with no potato, waited 5 mins so decide to ask if the potato was coming, the girl went to find out, the answer, sorry sir no baked potato, mmmm in a restaurant maybe they had forgot, really does not matter, not my main point, went to pay the bill, told the MANAGER RESTAURANT OWNER about it, he said, well I told them to say sorry, if you did not get it (ITS NOT MY FAULT), typical, I don't need your business sir we have lots more people spending much more than you. Bottom line, I did not get want I ordered, the owner did not give one jot, took my money, no would you like a cup of coffee maybe, or sir let me take 5% off your bill, no way. The staff fine, the manager, maybe should go go back to school and learn some manners, will not be going back, pity the food is good and staff OK.

We went here recently and had a wonderful meal and great time. The food was displayed attractively in a chilled cabinet and we could choose our fresh meat and fish at the counter. I had salmon goujons to start and the best fillet steak ever. My friend had calamares and red snapper..All delicious and the service very professional---Also the choice of desserts were very tempting..
I think it is very good value here and liked the place a lot . We will definitely be going back soon.

This was my 4th visit to this "pretentious cafe" and unfortunately it doesn't improve. For some reason ,locally, this establishment is perceived as the place to eat, however to anyone who has the minute experience of good food/service, it fails ......very red faced!!
