I went to this new restaurant in bexhill with my wife yesterday evening for the first time. We started with the sharing platter which I followed up with the steak and kidney pudding and my wife went for the chicken special (topped with goats cheese, mushroom and olives in a tomato sauce). The sharing platter was really nice, a good mixture of different starters in a smaller version and each one was lovely, especially the green olive tappenade!! The steak and kidney pudding was to die for, the best I have eaten in years!! My wife also really enjoyed her chicken dish as it had everything in that she liked. We shared a spotted dick for dessert which was a nice change as haven't eaten one in ages! The bill came in at £50 including wine which I thought was very reasonable. The service was good, the waiter was atentive and polite and friendly to chat to. Altogether a very good experience and will be visiting again soon!!
