Granger & Co on Westbourne Grove in Notting Hill is Australian chef Bill Granger's first restaurant in the UK. The cafe opens for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week.
Breakfast is served from 7am daily (8am on Sundays) with lighter options such bircher muesli (served with granny smith apple, fresh dates and almonds); avocado on rye bread with coriander & lime; or boiled eggs with sourdough soldiers and for the heartier appetite, there's a "full Aussie breakfast”. There's also choice of classic Bill's dishes as found in his Australian restaurants such as sweetcorn fritters with roast tomato, spinach and bacon (£10.90) and ricotta hotcakes served with fresh banana and a honeycomb butter (£9.90) - these are also available for lunch.
At lunchtimes, there's a selection of sandwiches (sesame chicken with bacon and avocado mayo - £10), soups and salads along with hot dishes including lamb meatballs with a relish of tomatoes, tamarind and cashew nuts (£11.50) or chicken schnitzel with a Parmesan crumb served with spicy coleslaw (£10.50).
The dinner menu at Granger & Co includes several of the lunchtime dishes, supplemented by a "BBQ" section consisting of heartier dishes such as sirloin steak with spiced potatoes (£19.50) and chilli pork ribs with onion salad (£12.00). There is also a "dish of the day", essentially a rotating specials board and a "fish of the day".
The wine list starts at around £20 per bottle (or £3.50 for a small glass), and features several Australian wines.
In keeping with the casual dining style, Granger & Co does not accept bookings.

Really nice cafe. Quality food and the service was really really good. Not the cheapest but that is made up for by the quality. Nice ambience - very bright and spacious.

I can't believe nobody has written a review yet praising the food at this place - it is the best place for breakfast/brunch for miles. Staff are always friendly and cheerful without being overbearing or too "matey".
The full aussie breakfast isn't cheap at 13 quid but it'll certainly get you over your hangover and set you up for the day! Sweetcorn fitters are nice as well. Had an evening meal here once before and that was really good too; nothing fancy but hearty and well cooked.
