Great food, great service, great value. A little gem that's hidden away in the centre of Leigh.

I visited the restaurant for the second time last night with two colleagues from work.
I had the curried mushrooms for starter and one of my colleagues had the black pudding.
Both dishes were very tasty and perfectly presented.
The selection of wine was excellent and we enjoyed a bottle of superb Rioja which didn't cost a fortune.
For the main course we all chose the sirloin which was once again beautifully cooked and presented.
The vegetables were a masterpiece especially the red cabbage.
Service was very quick, efficient, friendly and we spent quite some time with the owner discussing his love of great food and fine wine.
The whole group really enjoyed the evening and I would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to anyone.

Came here for a meal with my wife and in-laws. We were greeted warmly by the owner who offered us a choice of table and explained the menu choices and daily special. The service was excellent (not too much but attentive to our needs). The staff were very friendly, atmosphere very pleasant, and the food was fabulous.
As commented by a previous reviewer, this place doesn't look much from the outside, but trust me, it's well worth a visit. We'll definitely be back!

We've been here a couple of times now. Its been great every time. The staff are great, very friendly & laid back. I'm not sure if the 1* reviewer went to the same place! Its nothing to look at from the outside, but the food is spot on.
Cool tunes, great food, nice people. What more can you ask for from a bistro?

We had friends visiting from Dorset, they have have taken us to some lovely restaurants, we thought we would try bella bistro as reviews on this site look promising!
Their was only a few people in but we still wait ages to be serve, there was no atmosphere, the owner came over to take our order acting like some kind of thespian, we waited ages for food, when it arrived the steak was cold, the carrots were still frozen, they forgot about the vegetarian order, told her they will see what they can russell up, two of us had more or less eaten by the time the other two meals turned up, The food was awful! we even seen the waitress coming back with chips from the chippy, as for the bill the price had so many surcharges!
We were so embarrassed! luckily we ended up having a laugh about the experience, but never again!
The first review must of been by the owner, as this place was awful, its no shabby chic just shabby! I would not recommend this to anyone, it needs money spending on it, so run down!
Found out later from different people who told me this was good place once, but that was a long time ago!

I recently visited Bella Bistro with 3 friends and we had'nt booked but we were greeted very warmly by the owner and the restaraunt was full so we took seats at the the bar for drinks and peruse the menu which had an excellent choice and to be honest we were spoilt for choice. I tried scallops which were excellent with a side order of bread and oil & olives, it reminded us of being on holiday and has a wonderful vibe! I then had a fillet steak which was excellent cooked to perfection & sauces and vegetables are free which I thought was great, dessert choice was great and the coffee was possibly the best I've had. So to be honest I can't believe we have'nt been before & we will be recomending it whole heartedly.
A great little bistro with a wonderful atmosphere and service well done!

i went to bella bistro with 8 friends and had the set menu, most of us had the turkey dinner and when it finally arrived we were shocked how small it was. I have seen bigger childs meals dont get me wrong the food was good but not enough of it, we all said we wouldnt be going back. Lucky there was a kebab shop close by for the ones still hungry.

I went to Bella Bistro with 3 friends we had the set menu which is available for the christmas period, although it is a set menu there are various choices for starter, main & dessert.
We had a lovely evening, the food was delicious and we thought it was very good value for money.
The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are very welcoming.
I will recommend Bella Bistro to all my friends & family.
