Bamboo Baboom Chinese in Wimbledon

Having had many take-aways from here I can say that although the quality can fluctuate a little - overall it very good, occasionally amazing and rarely a little disappointing.

Depends what chef you get on what day I guess, definitely worth a go.

After receiving my dinner over an hour after the order was placed I had the delight of discovering the worst Chinese I've ever eaten!!! The food was cold, the chilli beef was just beef with maybe a spoon of source. Poor!!

Will NEVER eat from this place again! over priced and the food quality was very poor as well as the customer service!

We ordered around 6 dishes after an hour the food came and the black bean sauce from the chicken was all over the bag. I told the driver and he said he was going to get another one for me. As we dished up we found the quality of food very very poor. all of the dishes that had sauce accompanying them were watery. The prawn curry had 5 prawns in- this is not what we were expecting! The Singapore rice noodles came half full and was mainly bean sprouts. The food was incredibly salty and after this, I decided we were not going to eat it and called up the place and complained.

At 9.00 I told them that they could come and collect the food and I wanted a full refund (£38!!). After being passed from pillar and post and being told over and over again that the manager will be in soon and to call back in an hour, then 20 mins, then 30 mins. At 11.30pm I was then told the manager would not be coming in and that all they could offer me was £15.00 as they had to cover the costs of food! Unacceptable! At 12pm I rang back and someone told me that the manager would be in tomorrow no later then 3pm.

I had to order my Chinese from another takeaway service, they were lovely, polite the food was £10 cheaper and was brilliant quality! They even delivered within half an hour on a Saturday night because of my ordeal at Bamboo baboom and chucked in a free bottle of coke!

At 2pm the following day I rang and got passed back and fourth and then was told that the manager would be in at 5pm.

At 7pm I managed to speak to the Manager who then told me I could have a refund of £35.00 as they needed to cover the cost of the delivery! After kicking up a fuss about wanting to get my full money back he then agreed.

I am absolutely disgusted at the customer service and the poor quality of food- (or lack of). I would urge people not to eat here.

The most appalling experience. Awful, awful food that took ages to arrive - more than an hour) that was certainly not cheap. But the worst aspect of our experience was the quality of the food, most of which ended up in the bin. It was truly disgusting.
