Balti Palace built up a reputation locally for good Indian food and friendly service, and is usually busy so booking is advised if you don't want to wait for a table.
The restaurant serves the range of dishes you'd expect to find in any British Indian restaurant - pathias, jalfrezis, madras, kormas and alike. Also on the menu are some less common dishes such as Saagwala, a curry made with lots of fresh spinach and herbs. As with most Indian restaurants, there is plenty of choice for vegetarian diners.
The restaurant is often very busy on Friday and Saturday evenings, so booking is advised. Some car parking is available in the Co-Op car park next door. The restaurant also operates a taxi service for customers living within four miles of the restaurant.
Food is also available to takeaway, however this branch does not currently operate a home delivery service.

We regularly go here with friends. Decent food, and their mid-week "banquet nights" are great value - starter, main and rice/naan for a tenner.
Service is good and friendly. Often gets busy and we've had to wait for a table a few times - but never more than about 10-15 minutes.
A good "standard" curry house.

I've found Balti Palace to be very reliable for a decent meal. There have been a couple of hiccups (over bookings) but mostly it's very good.
We often partake in their banquet evening where you can get a starter, main and rice for £9.95. The food tastes like it has been cooked well and there's a lot of flavour in the different dishes. The staff are friendly, although the lady doing the drinks always seems rushed off her feet!

A good, reliable place for takeaway (it's a shame they don't deliver too). The prices seem fair given the generous portions. The food is consistently good too - my favourite is the lamb shatkora (shatkora is a slightly bitter citrus fruit) - not something you find in many Indian restaurants, worth a try. Food has always been ready to collect within a few minutes of the time given on the phone - and the order has always been spot on.
I've also eaten in the restaurant and had a good meal, although the decor could do with updating. Whenever I've been in it's always been busy both with diners and people collecting takeaway orders.
This is definitely somewhere I'll continue using.

I've been to this restaurant on a number of occasions with parties varying in size from me and my wife to around 25 of us.
On each occasion the quality of the service and food has been brilliant and I would recommend Darton Balti to anyone who wants to experience excellent Indian food in a clean, friendly and relaxing environment. I will definitely be eating there again.
