Situated under the railway arches in the center of Huddersfield, Balooshai restaurant opens for dinner seven nights a week.
The restaurant serves Bangladeshi, Indian and Pakistani food from their open plan kitchen. The restaurant is one large dining room with flexible tables which can seat just two, or can be laid for larger groups.
There is street parking outside the restaurant which is generally free in the evenings. Free delivery is available within a 4 mile radius of the restaurant subject to a minimum order of £20.

Good food and friendly staff. I love the keema matar. Early bird menu is great value, but the main menu is reasonably priced too.
Decor is a bit odd, when I first saw the bright colours on the wall I wondered if we'd wandered into a Mexican restaurant by mistake - and the fish tanks are a bit... well weird if you are sat next to them with the fish swimming past your naan bread.
Also had delivery, and that has been hot and on time. Recommend this place.

Good value Indian restaurant, lovely food which you can see the chefs preparing in the open kitchen. Really friendly staff, we only go here once a month or so but they always seem to remember us - which is nice.

I've eaten at Balooshai a few times now and I really like it. The decor is a bit bright (especially in the ladies toilets!) but dont let that put you off!
I've eaten both from the a la carte and early bird (£10 for 2 courses) menu and both have been excellent. The early bird menu is just a limited selection of the full menu and the portions aren't stingy!
The staff have been friendly and professional and despite one incident with another diner being a bit drunk, the restaurant has had a really nice vibe to it with a little background music and lots of chatter.
The kitchen is open plan (well - really it's just a corner of the room) and you can see the chefs hard at work. The restaurant can get a little warm at times too with all the heat from the kitchen.

Balooshai is fast becoming one of my favorite Indian restaurants. The food is great, and the service friendly and attentive.
Only minor criticism would be that there isn't much space between tables - but that said when the place is busy (as it has been whenever I've visited) there is a great buzz in the room.
