Not a good experience. I met with 3 friends at Aladdins.
Food was OK - hot dishes were not hot - ie not temperature hot - and kulfi was warm and melted before our eyes - kulfi was accompanied by sliced mango - but without a fork we had fun chasing it around the flat dessert plate - then borrowed forks from another table to finsih the job!
Value was OK £20 per head for 2 courses plus beer
Service was very strange - there's a process at Aladdins - and whether you like it or not you WILL BE PROCESSED! They didnt seem to listen when we said we're sharing this food - just place it on the table please. Staff were border-line rude - insisting that pappdums were removed - wine glasses cleared away - everyone should have naan - surely the fun of nann bread is ripping it up! Not at Aladdins - its quartered before coming to the table and a piece place don each plate.
Atmosphere was a bit lik eboot camp - the 'commandant' shook our hands rather over enthusiastically as we left.
And the toilets? Beautiful...marble walls and floors - fabulaous lights and wash basin and mirrors - but no loo roll - that's not strictly true - I eventually found the spare loo rolls hidden in a fab chrome contaner behind the bog brush.
Aladdin - your lamp is over-polished - relax a little - a little tarnish adds character and depth.
