What do the Brits love on their chips?

There is no mistaking the fact that us Brits love our chips with an amazing 255 million portions of fish & chips served up each year in the nation’s chippys alone.

Over the last few weeks, we’ve been surveying visitors to our site to find out what they like on their chips. The votes have been counted up and we have a very clear favourite with over half of the vote.


Unsurprisingly, the most popular choice was salt and vinegar with a huge 55% of the vote. The second most popular choice was Belgian favourite, mayonnaise. Tomato sauce came in third with 14% of the vote, with gravy slightly less popular at 9%. Only 4% of the people surveyed said they like their chips plain.
